Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) issued a notice of a water service interruption affecting Newton Ground at 6:45 a.m., and a similar notice for Lower Mattingley Heights at approximately 8:00 a.m.
WSD officials said both interruptions were caused by malfunctioning water pumps. Officials added that repairs to the water pump in Newton Ground were completed and estimated that service should be restored by 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Teams continue to assess the situation at Lower Mattingley Heights. The WSD will provide further details, including an estimated service restoration time, once more information becomes available.
