Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) will continue to perform routine maintenance and urgent repairs at key locations on the island on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The Southeast Peninsula
The team will repair two ruptures on the main line to the Southeast Peninsula. Accordingly, the pumping water to that area will be delayed until approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday, pending the completion of the repairs.
Basseterre
The team will repair a pump at a well and a 6-inch and 10-inch main in the Basseterre Valley. The team will also repair pipes at Dewars and Taylors. Additionally, in Bird Rock, the team will continue to lay the line for the Basseterre desalination plant.
Reduced water pressure and temporary service interruptions are likely in some areas. The WSD sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
